Macey McHenry—Glamorous society girl or spy-in-training?

W.W. Hale V—Heir to an American dynasty or master thief?

There are two sides to every coin. Whether these two can work together is a tossup.

Born into privilege, Macey and Hale are experts at mingling with the upper class. But even if they’ve never raised an eyebrow at the glitz, neither teenager has ever felt at home with the glamour.

When Macey and Hale meet at a society gala, the party takes a dangerous turn. Suddenly they’re at the center of a hostage situation, and it’s up to them to stop the thugs from becoming hostile. Will Macey’s spy skills and Hale’s con-man ways be enough to outsmart a ruthless gang? Or will they have to seek out the ultimate inside girl to help?

Didn't realize this short story was actually part of an existing series, but it did not diminish the enjoyment of reading it.  Though these characters have obviously been introduced in longer novels, I got enough from this short story to enjoy them, and figure them out a little bit.  Though there seemed to be a few gaps that only reading the series can fill, I still liked it as a stand-alone. There is also some underlying romance that I can't wait to discover in the series, and there were definitely some hints as to some potential between Hale and Macey, and am really curious to see if that chemistry goes anywhere!

Full of intrigue, action and memorable characters that were both witty, coy and mysterious, this short story did what it was probably meant to do for first time readers - get me curious to check out the actual series. I am really looking forward to sitting down with the first in both the Heist Society and Gallagher Girls. I am pretty sure that they will be as fun as this Itty Bittie was.

* Additional Note: As of June 1st, this short treasure was free on Amazon. If you are curious, or have read the series and haven't read this installment, definitely click on the Amazon link above and check this one out for yourself.
