Duncan, by Teresa Gabelman

Hi everyone!

Man - it feels like it's been an eternity since I've been able to finish a book that doesn't have 12 words per page and a picture of a barn and animals that go moo, baa and quack.  But finally I was able to finish Duncan.  And I am SO GLAD that I did!!

Leader of the VC Warriors Cincinnati branch, Duncan Roark, has devoted his long life to the Warriors he calls brothers and the Vampire Council, protecting innocents of both the vampire and human race. Things change suddenly when it is ordered that he and his fellow Warriors train human Social Workers to protect themselves in their new world of vampires. Falling in love with a human was something Duncan never thought possible, but love her he did. Now instead of being the ruthless leader he was trained to be, his focus has turned to finding the woman he loved and let go.

Pam Braxton is outgoing and loves her job working with children, but when she realizes her live in boyfriend, Kenny Lawrence, has been using her and her job for his illegal activities, she becomes withdrawn, and her world is turned upside down. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, she stays, trying to learn more of his betrayal so she could see him punished. That decision sucks her deeper into a relationship that has turned dangerous and abusive. Overhearing a plot that would put everyone she cares about at risk, she finds the courage to try to stop the monster who has threatened her friends and the man she truly loves. Now Pam is on the run, alone and with a secret that could change the already unbalanced world of vampires and humans.

As Duncan searches for Pam, the threat of losing his leadership role has the other Warriors worried, but their loyalty for Duncan is strong and they stand behind him. Duncan’s search is relentless; he knows he is not the only one looking for Pam. Even with his responsibilities slipping, he puts it all on the line to find the only woman he has ever loved. In a race against time, Duncan fights to find Pam before her past catches up to her. The Warrior’s path is clear: Find the woman he loves
before the past finds her first.

If you haven't heard of Teresa Gabelman I suggest you Google her as fast as possible.  We have had the pleasure of getting to know some awesome authors over our blogging life.  Teresa is one of my favourites!  Not only can she write an amazing book but she is one of the kindest, funniest, down to earth people I have met.

Duncan is the third book in the protectors series.  We had the opportunity to read and review the previous two books in the series Damon and Jared

This book is the best of the three so far!  Packed with action, drama and romance it's one that everyone will love.  The characters have developed even more now.   We learn a lot about Pam's life in this book, what she has been through is horrifying.  There is always something to keep you on the edge of your seat. You will laugh, cry and even get angry.  All of the elements of a 5 star novel!

By the end of the second book - Jared - I had fallen for Duncan and couldn't wait to see what Teresa had in store for us next.  He is so big and bad...some may say even a bit of an A-hole...but when he's with the one he loves a romantic side like no other is shown.  You can truly feel the unconditional love he has for Pam.  He would do anything to protect the one he loves...but is it enough?

Does Pam have a happy ending?  Will Duncan get to her in time?   You'll have to read the book to find out more.

This book was supposed to be the last in the trilogy but to my excitement, Teresa decided to continue the series!!  Please excuse me while I do my happy dance!

Sid is the next book in the series and is being released tomorrow!!!! That calls for a party!  Click on the link below if you want to join in on the Sid Release Party online!  Games, Prizes (including two BIG ones), and the VC Warriors will be making an appearance!  DON'T MISS IT!
