Book Review - Deep, By Kylie Scott

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.

Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible... but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

This book was a real let down compared to the others in this series. It started off with a bang but then was very slow to get to the point at time. However at other times I felt like it was rushed and I needed to know more about specific situations.

I didn't really love the characters as much as the others. I felt like Ben was still way to much of a mystery, there were to many times where I wanted to follow him when he disappeared and find out what he was doing or how he was feeling. And Lizzy... she fell short for my likings. She is very immature, getting mad and shutting him out or pushing him away for very miniscule things. The she would turn around and say he was running away from her! this made me very annoyed, very unnecessary.

What I did like about this book was how Ben & Lizzy protected and cared for each other, even when they weren't together. But that's probably the only thing I liked... The only reason I kept reading this book was because you still got more storylines on characters from the pervious books.

Overall if you've read the other books to this series I would suggest reading this one, but only if you care about getting a little more information on the pervious characters. This was a 2 star book for... a bit of a waste of time.

  1. I've been thinking about reading Kylie Scott for a long time, but I just don't know if her books will have enough oomph to pull me in. Sounds like this one was disappointing.
